About Me

I am a wife and a mom to a beautiful boy and two fur-babies.  I have lived in Johannesburg my whole life and have loved my journey of growing up and experiencing my community.

I completed my Master’s in educational psychology at the University of Pretoria in 2019 (Cum Laude). In 2020 I then completed my internship at two Curro schools - Curro Aurora and Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel. This allowed me to gain insight into two different types of school settings and how they are run. Prior to finishing my Master’s degree, I was working as a Registered Counsellor both for an NGO in Johannesburg CBD and in private practice at a private school in Midrand.

As an Educational Psychologist my scope lies in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I work on empowering these individuals in their social, emotional, and academic lives through psychotherapy, and through psychoeducational assessments and subject choice or career assessments. I am a firm believer in working holistically with my clients and therefore the process often involves working with those closest to them.

Throughout my years in training and in practice I have come to realise the love I have working with pre-teens and adolescents, and so this is where my passion truly lies. I believe that they are living in a new world where expectations of life, academics and friends are very difficult to manage. Therapy is a great way to instill coping skills in these learners in order to ensure they are empowered and find pride in themselves every day.

I look forward to further making an impact in the community I have grown up in and grown to love.
