My Approach
I enjoy working holistically with clients and their families in order to ensure the best possible outcome. Over the years I have found many approaches valuable in the therapy process but find that I specifically enjoy working with management therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Positive Psychology. I also find that incorporating mindfulness and mindful-based techniques often benefits clients too. I am a certified Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) trained practitioner and find that this tool has been very helpful in clients presenting with certain challenges. I do believe, however, that every client that I see is unique in their entirety and so I adjust my methods to best suit the needs of the client. In every session I aim to create an environment that is safe and nurturing to the therapeutic process. My hope is that clients and their parents leave feeling empowered and up-skilled.
